Having tried dehydrated Sourdough Flakes (from 2 different sources) with limited success, I decided to try a Live starter. I would only recommend this form to anyone starting out on the Sourdough Bread journey.
Tony was a wealth of information and recommended I purchase the Organic Spelt starter. Tony reassured me the love culture would be fine, he was right.
I received it on a Tuesday afternoon, fed it and watched it come to life. I fed it again in the morning and within a few hours I was ready to start baking.
Still experimenting with Kamut flour to obtain that perfect loaf, but what I have made has tasted amazing. Even made crackers using the sourdough discard.

Live starter is the only way to go, if you want something strong and reliable, that can get you baking within a day or so. Don’t waste your time with flakes.
