Unlike dried starter flakes, this one is fed the day we ship it, already active and ready to rise, giving you a faster, more vigorous fermentation process and a beautifully complex loaf. Perfect for rye bread enthusiasts or bakers wanting to add extra character to their sourdough baking. Intended to by used as close to delivery as possible, or just pop it in the fridge for up to two weeks.

📦 Where do you ship from?
We ship all orders from our home base in Port Macquarie to the rest of Australia.
🚚 How long does shipping take?
Standard delivery within Australia usually takes 2–8 business days. Rural areas may take a little longer, up to 15 days. You’ll receive tracking info once your order is dispatched.
🚚 How well do the live starters travel?
We routinely post our live starters from NSW to remote WA and the NT and have not encountered any issues with activity upon feeding after arriving at their new home.
🌍 Do you ship internationally?
We only ship within Australia.
💸 How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your location and order size. We offer free shipping on orders over $120 AUD however, if your order is heavy, we sometimes ask for shipping fees.
📬 When will my order be sent?
Orders are typically packed and shipped within 12-48 hrs after payment. You'll get an email with tracking as soon as it's on its way.
